Nearing the end of a seasonal job at Verus to lend a hand during the busy spring tax season in 2017, Theresa expressed interest in becoming a part-time team member. We were delighted to have this seamless addition to our operations team on an ongoing basis.

At Verus, Theresa assists individuals and couples nearing or entering retirement age — that moment when it’s time to start putting long-term plans into action and begin drawing from investment portfolios.

During her prior career in banking, she enjoyed connecting with people and is happy to be building relationships with clients at Verus. “Verus has been a great fit for me. It’s such a warm and friendly place, and everyone works together so well,” Theresa says. “We all have questions here from time to time, and I really appreciate the willingness of others to help out. It’s just a wonderful environment.”

She enjoys the work-life balance offered by the firm, with a position that gives her the flexibility to spend time with her family.

Theresa is a Virginia Commonwealth University graduate who earned a business administration degree. She and her husband, Darrell, were high school and college sweethearts. On the weekends, you’ll find the Hanover County family outdoors – perhaps fishing or gardening. They are also actively involved in worship and numerous activities at Cool Spring Baptist Church.
