Carter Cosgrove comes to Verus after years of running and teaching preschool and taking time for her most important role: as a Mom to two daughters. As a client service advocate, she is one of the first faces you’ll see when arriving at the office. She also assists financial planners, manages schedules, and “holds down the fort,” she says.

“You know how you walk into a house or try a wedding dress, and you know this is the one? I just knew Verus was the right fit,” she says. “They were genuinely interested in who I was, and what I brought to the table. Everyone here is amazing.”

Cosgrove, who danced as a child and remains active in the ballet community, is involved in the Richmond nonprofit PDM Productions, which offers kids and adults the opportunity to put on a professional production of The Nutcracker Sweet each year. She serves as a “costume mistress,” handling alterations, fittings, and headpieces for the performers.

Cosgrove is involved in the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, helping gather art supplies, toys, blankets, stuffed animals and other items for kids going through infusions and dialysis. Carter, her husband Chad, Genevieve and Olivia live in Powhatan and are members of Powhatan United Methodist Church.
