After interning at Verus in the summer of 2018, Kristin Lindsay was offered a position with the firm and “knew she’d be a fool” not to accept. “From day one of my internship, I was treated like I had always been part of the team” she says. “Verus felt like home.”
Kristin already has an impressive list of experiences, including participating in two other internships, in addition to working part-time in tax preparation and accounting positions during college. “I love the puzzle logic of financial planning,” she says, “and I have always wanted to be in a helping profession. Helping people reach their goals is the best feeling in the world.”
Kristin comes to Verus after graduating from Virginia Tech in May 2019, where she minored in Spanish and earned bachelor’s degrees in both finance and accounting and information systems. In her time there, she held several leadership positions on the student chapter of the Financial Planning Association, serving as president her senior year, was an active member of the American Red Cross, and spent time involved with the Latin dance community.
Kristin grew up in Salem, Virginia and today resides in Henrico County. In her free time, you can find Kristin dancing salsa and bachata, catching up on her never-ending book list, hiking with friends, or wandering into Shyndigz. She enjoys volunteering with the Veterans’ Affairs division of the American Red Cross and attends Shady Grove United Methodist Church.
