“I love the puzzle logic of financial planning and always wanted to be in a helping profession," Kristin says, when asked why she chose to become a financial planner. "Financial planning allows me to hear so many wonderful life stories and support people while they write these stories.”

Kristin was our summer 2018 intern and gleefully joined the Verus team full-time after graduating from Virginia Tech, where she minored in Spanish and earned dual bachelor’s degrees in both finance and accounting and information systems. While at Tech, she held several leadership positions on the student chapter of the Financial Planning Association, serving as president her senior year, was an active member of the American Red Cross, and spent time involved with the Latin dance community.

Kristin grew up in Salem, Virginia and the country mouse now resides in Richmond with her fur-baby, Peanut. In her free time, you can find Kristin dancing salsa and bachata, hiking with friends, or exploring all the Richmond food scene. She continues to volunteer with the Financial Planning Association and can be found at Hill City Church on Sunday mornings.
